The event aims to provide scientific and technical knowledge and to compare the results of several local measures to improve air quality. It aims to address responsible and technicians of mobility, environmental control and air quality areas, but it also wants to be a meeting point with other actors involved (universities, consultancies, research centres, etc.).
For years, various measures are being adopted, such as the control of emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, the improvement of the quality of fuels and new technologies, etc., which have helped to advance and improve; and above all, in recent years, notably the elaboration of plans for the improvement of the quality of the air at different territorial levels.
This is one of several events that have been scheduled, during the months of September to November, in the European regions with the slogan “Europe in my Region/city” as events related to European Week of Regions and cities-OPEN DAYS 2013-, organised by the EU Committee of the Regions and the Directorate-General for regional and urban policies of the European Commission.
