Meeting with regional authorities in Florence

On the 5th of November 2014, Franco Lucarelli from AIRUSE Partner UNIFI, meet with members of the Regional Government and of the Environmental Protection Agency of Tuscany, to present the results on the identification of the aerosol sources and their impact in Florence (Action B2). Traffic (as sum of Vehichle exhaust, Vehicle non-exhaust and traffic-related secondary nitrates) and biomass burning are the most relevant aerosol sources in Florence.

Meeting with Policymakers – DEFRA, UK Government

On 30 October 2014, Professor Ry Harrison from the University of Birmingham attended a meeting at the Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs, with the Chief Scientific Advisor and the Chair of DEFRA’s Science Advisory Council and was given the opportunity to explain the purpose and results of AIRUSE as part of a wider discussion relating to air quality issues.
